Dr. Carmen Muresan is a Harvard Anesthesiologist and Harvard subspecialty trained Interventional Pain Management Physician, the only Double-Harvard specialty trained pain management specialist in South Florida. Her goal is to treat patients with the highest quality of medical care within her unique expertise and qualifications and to help patients avoid surgery. Her impressive credentials and extensive speaking background and ability give her added credibility. Dr. Carmen is recognized nationally and internationally, lectures and educates other physicians of all specialties in the management of pain conditions. She is uniquely trained in diagnosing and treating a multitude of pain conditions particularly those involving the spine, musculoskeletal and cancer. She is conscientious in working closely with all specialties including orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons to provide appropriate diagnostic information (discography, selective nerve/transformational blocks, etc.) crucial in surgical decision-making and assisting in the continuity of patient care with the latest in therapeutic interventions (spinal cord stimulators, intrathecal pumps, etc.) for intractable, non-operable pain conditions.

Her expertise and experience with pain management medications and outgoing personality with ability to engage physicians and other healthcare practitioners have led to her great success and demand in speaking for various organizations. Dr. Muresan has an impressive and extensive background in the area of anesthesiology and Pain Management and has held academic appointments as affiliate Professor at Bradley University, Instructor in Anesthesiology University of Louisville, and as University Pain Center Director and Pain Fellowship Program Director at University of Louisville. She is fluent in multiple languages (including Spanish) and has appeared on various Hispanic television health programs including Telemiami “GanandoSalud” weekly health program, “Programa de Salud” Miami Latin TV, Pain Health Segment AmericaTeVe Spanish Station, UNIVISION 6pm news segment on New Alternatives in Managing Pain, Miami Hispanic TV Saturday morning health segment and various Hispanic television station news segments.

Lectured extensively for various national and international organizations including North American Congress of Surgeons, International Congress of Surgeons, American Fracture Associations, Annual Scientific meeting of American Academy of Neurologic and Orthopedic Surgeons (AANOS), Florida Orthopedic Society, Various CME presentations SIU, Bradley University, DMH Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Mt.
